Peace, quiet and wide-open spaces are symbolic of the North West Province. Here travelers can enjoy a change of pace with a year-round sunny climate and no malaria threat. An abundance of nature reserves allow for exciting game-viewing experiences - both of the Big Five and of the lesser-known animals as well as a colourful array of birdlife.

Expansive dams and the refreshing waters of the Vaal River provide activities for anglers and water-sports enthusiasts to enjoy. The Pilanesberg National Park, the fourth largest in Southern Africa, covers an area of more than 500km and lies in the center of an extinct volcano crater and is a firm favourite for bird and nature lovers.

In contrast, the bright lights, entertainment centers and casinos of Sun City and Lost City create a paradise with accommodation from family bungalows to pure opulence and luxury. World-class golf, sports and entertainment facilities await visitors.
